The skylark is particularly well known for its long-lasting, melodic song, which it performs during the so-called song flight. The male climbs in wide spirals up to several dozen metres into the sky – often so far that it can only be perceived as a small dot – and sings there continuously for up to 15 minutes

The government has launched a national consultation on this topic, particularly regarding photovoltaic and wind power.
The aim of this consultation is to gather all relevant elements that can help accelerate the expansion of these renewable energies.

The Mouvement Ecologique is joining forces with ten organisations from various sectors in Luxembourg (architecture, heritage conservation, environment, etc.) to support the European citizens’ initiative “HouseEurope!”. The common objective is to collect at least 4,500 signatures in Luxembourg and 1 million at European level to initiate a decisive change and make renovation simpler, less expensive and more accessible than demolition in Luxembourg and throughout Europe.

Nachdem der Mouvement Ecologique 2024 das europäische Bürgerbegehren #TaxTheRich unterstützt hatte, bekommt diese Initiative 2025 eine neue Dynamik: Der Fokus liegt dabei weiterhin darauf, die “Superreichen”, sprich Personen mit einem Netto-Vermögen von über 100 Millionen €, stärker zu besteuern. Der Mouvement Ecologique beteiligt sich dabei an der gemeinsamen Kampagne von internationalen Organisationen, die sich für eine effektive Besteuerung dieser Vermögen zugunsten der Gesellschaft, der Demokratie und der globalen Gerechtigkeit einsetzen.

We are talking about part of the “Haneboesch” forest, next to the industrial zone of the same name near Niederkorn. This is an old “chickweed-oak-hornbeam forest”, which is protected as such at EU level.
