Oekofest 2025: “What a wonderful festival!”

It rained all day long, and on top of that, the lift to the Upper City was out of service. Not exactly the best conditions for an Oekofest.

And yet: it turned out to be a great festival, even if, understandably, fewer people attended.

The opening took place in front of a well-filled hall at “Sang a Klang”. The speech by the president of Mouvement Ecologique, which mainly addressed developments at the EU level but also in Luxembourg, received strong support (you can watch the video of the speech online here). Afterwards, the festival was officially launched with a friendly “Patt”.

The atmosphere at the festival was excellent, with everyone taking the opportunity to meet friends and exchange ideas.
The live music was outstanding, the guided tours very inspiring, and the food offered at the numerous stalls was delicious (organic and often vegetarian / vegan).

The sales and information stands were very attractive and engaging. As some exhibitors put it: “We may have sold a little less, but the atmosphere was fantastic nonetheless.” Another exhibitor from the energy consultancy sector added: “The visitors were very interested, I was very satisfied.”

The children’s activities were also a big hit. Face painting was very popular, the storytelling hour was moved indoors and delighted young and old alike. As always, Georges Christen captivated both children and adults.

For 2026, we hope for better weather! But it was a real pleasure to spend such a lovely day in Pfaffenthal again in 2025.
