Independent, technically undisputed statistical data is very important for good policymaking. Most people probably associate STATEC less with environmental issues.

We are a strong community as a movement – an important and powerful voice! But it’s clear: the more people who become members and thereby show that they stand behind the movement’s commitment, the more we can achieve!

The Mouvement Ecologique recently held discussions with Minister for the Economy and Energy Lex Delles. The focus was primarily on the three pilot projects currently being carried out by the ministry in activity zones.

In recent weeks, the planned data centre has once again been the subject of press coverage, which has given the impression that the cooling issue has now been resolved: instead of water cooling, air cooling will now be used.

It has now been over ten years since Wiltz became the first municipality in Luxembourg to introduce financial assistance for repairs to household appliances (“repair bonus”). The Oekozenter Pafendall, the Mouvement Ecologique and O ekotopten.lu have strongly advocated for this important instrument with the state and other municipalities.

“When we talk about the energy transition, we usually mean the electricity transition – yet the heat transition is actually at least as important.” With these words, Raphael Gruseck, Head of District Heating Networks at the Ludwigsburg District Energy Agency LEA e.V., opened a highly engaging and excellently structured presentation.

Social car leasing is an important component of a fair transport transition. On behalf of the Ministry of the Environment, Luxmobility conducted a study and presented concrete proposals on how such a system could be designed in Luxembourg.
