Mouvement Ecologique is supporting a call launched by more than 470 organisations, trade unions and collectives from across Europe and the world.

The atmosphere at the festival was excellent, with everyone taking the opportunity to meet friends and exchange ideas.
The live music was outstanding, the guided tours very inspiring, and the food offered at the numerous stalls was delicious (organic and often vegetarian / vegan).

In autumn, most red kites in Luxembourg migrate to southern Europe or North Africa. Groups of 10–20 or more red kites can be seen circling in the thermals (rising warm air) on sunny days.

For years, residents have been suffering from noise, dust and odours. Numerous issues remain unresolved to this day. Mouvement Ecologique Régionale Süden and BIGS are demanding: No expansion without a solution to the problems and a supervisory committee involving all stakeholders.

Luxembourg is currently being sued for 16 billion dollars by Russian oligarch Mikhaïl Fridman. The reason: Mr Fridman is subject to EU sanctions due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Luxembourg has frozen his assets, leading the oligarch to demand a huge compensation payment of 16 billion dollars.

In Luxembourg, the sparrow has long been ubiquitous – it has always been closely associated with human settlements. However, its population is declining – almost unbelievable for such an omnipresent and well-known bird species.

Until September 1st, the tender for fruit distributed by the state in schools for the year 2025-2026 was open for the 17th time. We are talking about a whopping 156 tons.

The European Commission is planning to dramatically weaken important environmental protection measures – in nature, forest and water protection!
