Call for the French anti-Cattenom demonstration!

On 27 April, the Coordination Anticnucléaire Nord-Est is organising a demonstration in front of the nuclear power plant in Cattenom – one day after the commemoration day of the Chernobyl disaster.

They are protesting against the nuclear policy of the French state. Due to pressure from the nuclear industry, the French government wants to build new European Pressurised Reactors (EPR) all over the country and extend existing plants, most of which are over 40 years old.

The meeting point is on Saturday 27 April at 12 noon in the park (Parc de Cattenom) in Cattenom (near the Moselle) for a picnic together before the demonstration sets off for the nuclear power plant at around 2 pm.
