In recent weeks and months, Mouvement Ecologique has been actively participating in the hunting round table led by the Ministry of the Environment. This round table brought together environmental organisations, hunting associations, Prosilva, forest owners, farmers and ministry representatives to discuss the problems with the current hunting regulations.

The Mouvement Ecologique supports the demands of CAN Europe regarding the Global Climate and Energy Vision (GCEV) as well as the first international conference for a just phase-out of fossil fuels, which will take place at the end of April in Santa Marta, Colombia.

At the end of January, Mouvement Ecologique had a stimulating exchange with Environment Minister Serge Wilmes, accompanied by numerous officials.

Mouvement Ecologique and Oekozenter Pafendall are committed to placing much greater focus on Luxembourg’s existing building stock with a view to promoting sustainable use of resources and reducing grey emissions in the construction sector

Ahead of the European discussions on industrial competitiveness, Mouvement Ecologique and ASTM, together with Climate Action Network (CAN) Europe, call on the Luxembourg government to clearly support strong European environmental and climate regulations.

By way of reminder: last Thursday, Mouvement Ecologique published a Europe-wide analysis by Pesticide Action Network Europe (PAN Europe) on pesticide contamination in apples.

We demand that our European leaders defend the laws that protect people and nature, not bow to polluters and vested interests.

Their message is clear: social progress and sustainability can reinforce one another. Only if we address them together will we develop effective solutions that benefit everyone.

The Mouvement Ecologique supports the positions of Beyond Fossil Fuels and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) regarding the planned revision of the Greenhouse Gas Protocol (GHGP) “Scope 2” guidelines.
