Making the energy transition happen at home: What new tools and support are available? What is right for me?
Bericht iwwert eng interessant Online-Veranstaltung mat Froen un d’Klima-Agence
Report on an engaging online event with questions for Klima-Agence
Some 80 people took part on Monday, 26 October, in a highly engaging online conference during which Fenn Faber and Sarah Juchems from Klima-Agence clearly explained, at the invitation of Mouvement Ecologique, how to make the energy transition happen at home. The presentation focused on electricity generation, heating, mobility and sharing energy. Government support schemes, particularly the “Klimabonus Wunnen”, were also discussed in detail.
Following a clear presentation of the different technologies, their benefits and the available government subsidies, participants were given plenty of time to ask Klima-Agence specific questions. The many practical and concrete questions made for a lively exchange and allowed a wide range of aspects to be explored, including resource consumption and the expected future development of these technologies.
During the presentation, participants learned more about how self-generated electricity from photovoltaic panels can be coordinated optimally with household consumption through a heat pump, electric car, battery and other devices.
Sarah Juchems, an energy adviser at Klima-Agence, illustrated the different questions and considerations particularly effectively using various simulation tools: How many solar panels can I install on my roof, and when will my system pay for itself? What alternatives do I have to increase my self-consumption and feed less electricity into the grid? What support can I receive for my project from the state, my municipality or my electricity supplier? How can I share my “surplus” electricity with others in the most useful way?
As part of the changes to the “Klimabonus Wunnen”, Klima-Agence is holding a roadshow. Information sessions will take place at the following dates and locations, offering an opportunity to learn about the new subsidies and ask questions:
