A recent study based on data from seven European countries (including Luxembourg) has now led to wild honey bees in the EU being classified as endangered on the IUCN RED LIST

The plan contains many relevant measures, but often remains too vague and unclear in terms of implementation. It lacks binding targets, timetables, clear responsibilities and sufficient funding.

From October onwards, it curls up for several months of hibernation. With its large, dark beady eyes and bushy tail, it is easy to recognise – if you ever get to see this secretive goblin of our hedgerows.

In autumn, less is often more – especially in the garden. Even if the sun is still shining and you’re itching to get some work done outside, it’s best not to cut back perennials or remove faded plant remains.

In addition to a general analysis, the report includes country-specific chapters for each EU Member State. Unfortunately, the analysis for Luxembourg is rather sobering.

Mouvement Ecologique is supporting a call launched by more than 470 organisations, trade unions and collectives from across Europe and the world.

The atmosphere at the festival was excellent, with everyone taking the opportunity to meet friends and exchange ideas.
The live music was outstanding, the guided tours very inspiring, and the food offered at the numerous stalls was delicious (organic and often vegetarian / vegan).
