Objection by the Mouvement Ecologique in the context of the Creos 2024 – 2034 network development plan

As required by EU law, the grid operator Creos published a draft grid development plan for Luxembourg in mid-April. The Mouvement Ecologique submitted its comments in a public consultation.

Criticism was levelled at storage capacities and flexiblisation. These were addressed in the document, but there is a lack of detail. Other comments were that pricing and cost calculations should be central elements of such a strategy. It is obvious that these decisions cannot be made by the grid operator alone. Nevertheless, a transparent discussion about electricity prices in Luxembourg would be necessary.
