Fruit trees to give away – reserve yours at Oekofest!

You may already have noticed the horticultural installation opposite the Oekozenter in Pfaffenthal: in 2025, as part of LUGA, an artistic interpretation of a tree nursery was created on this municipally owned site.

In the so-called “Jardin triptyque”, 150 fruit trees of different ages were planted. Just like in a tree nursery, they are planted relatively close together – and now it is high time for some of them to find a new home.

With the agreement of the City – for which we would like to express our sincere thanks – the Mouvement Ecologique will be giving away 50 trees at Oekofest.

Do you still have some space in your garden?

If you are interested, come by the Mouvement Ecologique stand during Oekofest on 20 September 2026 and reserve one of the trees.

Please note: the trees cannot be taken home on the day of the event. They will only be available for collection at a later date in October/November. We will let you know as soon as they are ready. Only once most of the leaves have fallen can the trees be dug up and transferred to their new homes with as little damage as possible.

Most of the trees are half-standard fruit trees, with a few standard trees also available. The selection mainly includes cherry, mirabelle plum and plum trees, as well as a few medlar trees.

You will be free to choose your favourite tree on site.

No arrangements or reservations can be made before Oekofest – reservations are only possible on the day itself. Trees will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis!
