with representatives from the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works and Luxtram

 

Transport Minister Yuriko Backes recently presented the plan for the construction of the high-speed tram along the motorway from Luxembourg City to the south of the country, ending at the terminus in Belvaux. By 2035, it should be possible to travel from Luxembourg City to Belvaux by tram.

During the event, the concept will be explained in more detail:

 

  • What will the exact route of the tram line be?
  • Why was this route chosen?
  • Where are stops to be located, and what modes of transport will provide access to the various stops?
  • Why has a new stop been planned at Pontpierre-Wickrange, as opposed to the ‘old’ plans?
  • In what stages is the line to be put into operation?
  • How detailed are the plans for the various sections of the route, and how are local authority representatives involved in the planning process?

 

These and other aspects will be outlined by representatives from the Ministry of Mobility and Public Works and from Luxtram during the event.

 

Following the presentation, there will be ample time for discussion.

 

Afterwards, the Mouvement Ecologique invites you to a ‘Patt’.
