A taste of things to come? Heatwave highlights need for well-thought-out green planning in towns and villages

The current heatwave is even more oppressive in larger towns than in rural areas – climate change means that such heatwaves will become more frequent and longer. In its latest press release, the Mouvement Ecologique is therefore calling on local authorities to take immediate and ambitious action to green their towns and villages in order to improve the microclimate in the long term.
